City council members in Wooster have unanimously approved a major renovation project for the Dix Expressway.  The project, which will stretch from just north of Friendsville Road to where the Dix crosses Old Route 30, will include replacing the road’s concrete with asphalt and installing new barriers and drainage systems.  ODOT will foot nearly the entire bill, with the city responsible for less than one percent of the project’s $45 million price tag.  Work will begin at some point in 2022 and could take anywhere from two to three years to complete.
