Wayne County dog tags will go be on sale Dec. 1-Jan. 31.  As in previous years, three-year or “life of the dog” licenses are available in addition to the standard one-year license. The fee for the one-year tag is $16, $48 for the three-year tag and the permanent tag is $160.  Dogs over 3 months old that have been owned for more than 30 days require a license. Tags purchased after Jan. 31 will be subject to a $16 penalty per tag.

The safety of customers and employees is vital. The office strongly encourages taking advantage of social distancing options when purchasing dog tags. The Auditors Office is open to the public 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Tag sales by mail, at satellite offices or at www.waynecountyauditor.org also are available.
