August Craft Kit for Teens @ the Central Library
Pick up a craft kit with supplies to make a Bloomin’ Baked Apple.
 
Ventriloquist Mark Merchant – Monday, August 5th @ 11 am @ the Central Library.
Join us to experience this all ages family-friendly program, featuring the talented comedian and ventriloquist, Mark Merchant.
                                                                                                                                               
Where Does Time Go? – Thursday, August 8th @ 6pm – Central Library
Because our time is valuable & limited, we must learn to manage life in relation to time. Join Kate Shumaker, OSU Extension Services Educator, as she discusses tools to prioritize time with family, work, and more! Registration is required.
 
Paws to Read @ the Central Library – Saturday, August 10th from 11 am – 12 pm. Kids are invited to read to a certified therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines.
 
Paper Squishie Fun Monday, August 19th @ 5:30pm – Central Library
Kids age 6-12 will color, cut, tape and stuff their paper squishie creation! Registration is required.
Author Visit with Brandon Weis @ the Central Library – Thursday, August 22nd @ 6pm.
Brandon is the author of “This is Gonna Hurt” and will share how he set out to hike over 7,000 miles in one year, and although difficult, and alone nearly the entire time, he found out it was more rewarding than he could imagine. Registration is required.
 
Family Movie Matinee Saturday, August 24th @ 11am – Central Library
We’re showing “IF” (rated PG) on the big screen! It’s about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friend. Bring a comfy chair or blanket, a snack and a drink. Children must be with an adult.
 
Book Discussion for Adults – Tuesday, August 27th @ 1pm @ the Central Library – discussing “The Bullet Swallower, by Elizabeth Gonzalez James, & @ 6pm – Jitters Coffee House – discussing “The Little Old Lady Who Broke All the Rules”, by Catharina Ingelman-Sundberg.
 
Storytime @ the East Branch – Wednesday @ 10:30am, August 28th.
Ages 2-5, with an adult, are invited to join us for stories and activities.
 
Storytime @ the Central Library – Friday @ 10:30am, August 30th.
Kids ages 2-5, with an adult, are invited to join us for stories, songs, & rhymes!
 
Little Learners Playgroup @ the Central Library – Friday @ 11am, August 30th.
Kids up to age 5, with an adult, will engage in activities to promote reading and social skills. Snacks will be provided.
