 Adventure Begins @ Your Library! With the 2024 Summer Reading Program, from June 3rd through July 20th  Sign up to explore summer reading programs for all ages, along with chances to win some great prizes! Visit the Central Library or East Branch to register.

Outback Ray’s Amazing Animal Show @ the Central Library – Tuesday June 4th @ 1pm.  Families are invited to join us for this educational hands-on exotic animal show.

 Epic Adventures @ the East Branch – Wednesdays @ 10:30am, June 5th, 12th, & 26th. Kids of all ages are invited to join us for stories and activities. Each week promises to be a new adventure!

 Storytimes @ the Central Library – Fridays @ 10:30am, June 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th. Kids ages 2-5, with and adult, are invited to join us for stories, songs, & rhymes!

 Little Learners Playgroup @ the Central Library – Fridays @ 11am, June 7th, 14th, 21st, & 28thKids up to age 5, with an adult, will engage in activities to promote reading and social skills. Snacks will be provided.

 Paws to Read @ the Central Library – Saturday, June 8th from 11 am – 12 pmKids are invited to read to a certified therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines.

 School’s Out Pizza Party @ the Central Library – Tuesday, June 11th @ 5:30pm. Teens will enjoy a summer celebration with outdoor games and pizza! Registration is required.

 Adventure of the Lost Treasure @ the Central Library – Wednesday, June 12th @ 11am. Want to assist with experiments, while science heroes guide you through a deep jungle treasure-hunting adventure? Join us as an adventure story comes to life! Intended for families and school age kids.

 Exploring Food from Other Cultures @ the Central Library – Thursday, June 13th @ 6pm. Pizza and tacos are familiar, but what about poutine and tangine? Join Kate Shumaker, OSU Extension Services Educator, to learn about the history of some of our favorite foods, as well as exploring some new ones. Intended for adults and teens. Registration is required.

 Space Adventure @ the Central Library – Monday, June 17th @ 11am.  Presented by the Warren Rupp Observatory, participants will be offered hands-on space exploration activities, involving moon rocks, and a moon crater craft, along with information about the sun! Intended for families with school-age kids.

 Quest for Mt. Everest – “A Life of Adventure; Living Life to the Fullest” @ the Central Library – Tuesday, June 18th from 5:30-7pm. Larry Compton will share his personal experiences during his unique adventure while making the trek to Mt. Everest. Learn about the fascinating people, traditions, and religions of Nepal through his personal video documentary.

 Book Discussion for Adults – Tuesday, June 25 @ 1pm @ the Central Library – discussing “The Excitements” by C.J. Wray, & @ 6pm – Jitters Coffee House – discussing “The Unchartered Flight of Olivia West”, by Sara Ackerman.

 A Child’s Homestead Experience @ the Central Library – Thursday, June 27th @ 11am. Bring the Farm to You will present a pioneer experience for families as they step back into the 1800’s! Join us for hands-on activities as we grind grain, roll dough, use a washboard, and play with hoops, stilts, and wooden toys!
