Artrageous! Returns to Wayne Center for the Arts

For the first time since 2019, Wayne Center for the Arts (WCA) will host its annual fundraiser
and open house event Artrageous! on April 29, 2023 at 7:00pm. The event is dubbed as “an evening of
inspiring experiences” because the entire night will revolve around the experiences that inspire art and
creativity.
“We are so happy to welcome our friends, students, and supporters back to the Arts Center for this event,”
says Executive Director Sara Starr Brink. “This promises to be a really fun evening celebrating creativity in our
community and supporting our many programs providing arts access and education.”
Attendees will be able to tour the Arts Center building including the newly renovated auditorium and galleries
which will be filled with works of art from local high school students. Wayne Center for the Arts faculty will be
demonstrating their crafts and facilitating hands-on activities as well. Live music and entertainment as well as
drinks and refreshments will round out the activities for the first half of the night.
At 9:00pm, everyone will gather in the auditorium for a live auction full of “inspiring experiences.” The live
auction will feature unique experiences that attendees can bid on. The experiences range from local highlights
like a table for 8 at the pre-opening of Mariola Italian to a Rocky Mountain Escape in Colorado. Other items
include tickets to a show at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, specially catered dinners by local chefs, and
behind-the-scenes exclusives with the Ohio Light Opera and on the rooftops of Briggs Financial and the
Commercial & Savings Bank downtown.
“Our supporters have donated some fantastic experiences for the live auction,” says WCA Board Member
Robin Carlton. “Each one of these items is sure to be inspiring! Best yet, all the proceeds will allow Wayne
Center for the Arts to enrich more lives through art!”
Tickets to the event are $75 per person, and all proceeds benefit art education in the community and provide
