First Ever Glassblowing at Smithville High School

Join the Smithville High School Art Club for the unveiling of their new glassblowing furnace. This event will take place on October 21-22 from 10am-5pm and will feature an entire weekend of live glassblowing and glass torchwork demonstrations at Smithville High School. Special Guest artist, David Graeber, will be coming all the way from New Jersey just for this event! Graeber has been featured in multiple PBS documentaries, the Wall Street Journal, and various glass art publications. Everything in his work is glass, down to every last flower petal, pinecone, and honeybee. He has worked alongside his mentor and collaborator, Paul Stankard, for over 30 years.
