August Fantastic Beasts Theme Craft Kit for Teens, available @ the Central Library or the East Branch. There are two versions of this craft kit – one will include supplies to make a Niffler Coin Pouch and the other will include supplies to make a Bowtruckle Model craft! 

 5 Ingredient Meals! By Kate – for Adults, Tuesday, August 2nd @ 6pm at the Central Library. Kate Shumaker, OSU Extension Services Educator, demonstrates how to assemble meals using 5 ingredients for each one. Registration is required.

Paws to Read – Saturday, August 13th from 11am – 12pm at the Central Library. Kids are invited to celebrate the “dog days of summer” by reading to a licensed therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines. 

 Teen Movie Night, Tuesday, August 16th from 4:30pm-7pm at the Central Library  The 3rd installment in a popular fantasy film series follows an attempt to take down a dark wizard while facing new threats in a more divided wizarding world. Watch it on the big screen with drinks and snacks provided. Call the library for the movie title, rated PG-13; ages 13-19.

Family Movie Matinee, Saturday, August 20th @ 11am at the Central Library.  Showing on the big screen, this movie follows several reformed yet misunderstood criminal animals who attempt to become good, with some disastrous results along the way! Bring a comfy chair or blanket, snacks, and a drink with a lid. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Call the library for the movie title; rated PG. 

Book Discussion for Adults Tuesday, August 30th @ 1pm at the Central Library – discussing “The Forest of Vanishing Stars” by Kristin Harmel, and @ 6pm at Jitters Coffee House – discussing “The Women of Chateau Lafayette” by Stephanie Dray. Books are available to borrow @ the Central Library.
