Enter Our Writing Contest! Share your original poetry, comics, or short stories, with or without illustrations, by entering the Holmes County District Public Library’s Writing Contest! Prizes will be awarded to the top entry in each category and submissions are due by April 22nd! Visit the library’s website, stop at the library or call 330-674-5972 for details!
April Craft Kit for Teens available at the Central Library or East Branch Pick up a craft kit to create Geode Easter Eggs.
Easter Egg Hunt @ the Central Library – Saturday, April 1st @ 11 am. Ages 2-12 will hunt eggs for prizes, and create a craft! Children must be with an adult, and registration is required.
Storytime! @ the East Branch – Wednesdays @ 10:30am, April 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th. Ages 2-5, with an adult, are invited to join us for stories, rhymes, and songs!
Storytime! @ the Central Library – Fridays @ 10:30 am, April 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th. Ages 2-5, with an adult, are invited to join us for stories, rhymes, and songs!
Little Learners Playgroup @ the Central Library – Fridays from 11 am – 12 pm, April 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th. Kids up to age 5, with an adult, will engage in activities to promote reading and social skills. Snacks are provided.
Paws to Read @ the Central Library – Saturday, April 8th, from 11 am – 12 pm. Kids are invited to read to a licensed therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines.
STEAMKids Club @ the Central Library – Tuesday, April 11th @ 6 pm. Ages 8-14 will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math by creating parachutes for Easter Peeps! Registration is required.
Eating on the go! With Kate, Tuesday, April 18th @ 6pm – Central Library Kate Shumaker, OSU Extension Services Educator, will share ideas for fast, easy, and healthy meals and snacks. Registration is required.
LEGO Building Night @ the Central Library – Monday, April 24th, from 5:30 – 6:45 pm. Ages 6-12 are invited for some LEGO building fun.
Book Discussion for Adults, Tuesday, April 25th @ 1pm – Central Library – discussing “The Christie Affair” by Nina de Gramont, and @ 6pm – Jitters Coffee House – discussing “The Family Across the Street” by Nicole Trope. Books are available to borrow at the Central Library.
