October Craft Kit for Teens available at the Central Library or East Branch Pick up a craft kit that include supplies to paint a fall inspired Metallic Line Art canvas.
Storytime! @ the East Branch – Wednesdays @ 10:30am, October 4th, 11th, 18th, & 25th. Kids ages 2-5 with an adult are invited to join us for stories, songs, and rhymes!
Storytime! @ the Central Library – Fridays @ 10:30am, October 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th. Kids ages 2-5 with an adult are invited to join us for stories, songs, and rhymes!
Little Learners Playgroup @ the Central Library – Fridays from 11:00am – 12:00pm, October 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th. Kids up to age 5, with an adult, will engage in activities to promote reading and social skills. Snacks are provided.
STEAMKids Club @ the Central Library – Tuesday, October 10th @ 5:30pm. School-age kids will learn more about coding a Sphero Robot. Registration is required.
Family Solar Eclipse Program @ the Central Library – Saturday, October 14th @ 11:15am. School-age kids and their families will learn fun facts about the annular eclipse while viewing this event in the library’s backyard. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Registration is required.
Who Gets Grandma’s Yellow Pie Plate? @ the Central Library – Tuesday, October 17th @ 6pm. Join Kate Shumaker, OSU Extension Services Educator, and learn how to fairly decide what to do with cherished family items, and share family stories.
Leaping Lizard Adventures @ the Central Library – Saturday, October 21st @ 10:30am. Families are invited for spooky fun! See and learn about snakes, lizards, toads and centipedes! Registration is required.
LEGO Building Night @ the Central Library – Monday, October 23rd from 5:30pm – 6:45pm. Families can join us for some LEGO building fun. LEGOS and ideas are provided.
The Friends of the Library are hosting their Fall Booksale! @ the Central Library – Friday, October 27th and Saturday, October 28th Plan to stop in at the Central Library’s meeting room during regular business hours on, to shop a selection of gently used books and materials. If you are a member of the Friends, or would like to become one, there is a “Member’s Only” preview on Thursday, October 26th from 5pm-7pm. Prices will be posted at the sale.
Book Discussion for Adults – Tuesday, October 31st @ 1pm – Central Library – discussing “West with Giraffes” by Lynda Rutledge, and @ 6pm – Jitters Coffee House – discussing “Dinosaurs” by Lydia Millet. Books are available to borrow at the Central Library.
