September Craft Kit for Teens – Available at the Central Library or East Branch “Bookscapes” kit includes materials such as felt, embroidery floss and faux greenery, to create a landscape scene from a book. This kit can be used in a program held on September 8th.
Preserve It! Part 3 with Kate – Tuesday, September 6th @ 6pm at the Central Library In the last class of a 3-part series about preserving food, Kate Shumaker, OSU Extension Services Educator, will share information and options to preserving meat. Registration is required for this adult program.
Storytime! @ the East Branch – Wednesdays @ 10:30am, September 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th Children ages 2-5 with an adult are invited to join us for stories, activities, and songs!
“Bookscapes” Craft Workspace for Teens – Thursday, September 8th from 5pm-6pm at the Central Library Craft event for ages 12-18 using the September craft kit. Additional assistance and materials will be available, such as craft paint. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
Storytime! @ the Central Library – Fridays @ 10:30am, September 9th, 16th, 23rd, & 30th Kids ages 2 – 5 with an adult, are invited for stories, activities, and songs!
Paws to Read – Saturday, September 10th, from 11am to 12pm at the Central Library Kids will celebrate “Hug Your Hound Day” by reading to a licensed therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines.
Family Movie Matinee – Saturday, September 17th @ 11am at the Central Library Enjoy a family-friendly movie; bring a lawn chair or a blanket, snacks and a drink with a lid. Children must be with an adult. Call the library for the movie title, rated PG.
LEGO Building Challenge – Monday, September 19th, from 5:30-6:45pm at the Central Library Children ages 6-12 can drop in anytime between 5:30 – 6:45pm for some LEGO building fun! LEGOs and ideas will be provided.
Dinosaur Fun at the Killbuck Community Library – Wednesday, September 21st @ 6pm Presented by the Holmes County District Public Library, children in grades 1 through 5 will be able to explore the world of dinosaurs, make a fossil, and receive a COSI Connects Dinosaur Kit.
Book Discussion for Adults, Tuesday, September 27th @ 1pm at the Central Library – discussing “Salt to the Sea” by Ruta Sepetys, and @ 6pm at Jitters Coffee House – discussing “The Paris Bookseller” by Kerri Maher. Books are available to borrow at the Central Library.
Dinosaur Fun – Thursday, September 29th @ 6pm at the Central Library Children in grades 1 through 5 will be able to explore the world of dinosaurs, make a fossil, and receive a COSI Connects Dinosaur Kit. Registration is required.
