The LHS Chamber Singers are Logan High School’s premier vocal ensemble conducted by John M. McClain, and Gretchen R. Weber as the collaborative pianist and the assistant director. Hailing from the beautiful Hocking Hills in Southeastern Ohio, the Chamber Singers have been recognized for their outstanding musicianship at local, state, and national levels. The choir is known not only for their incredible performances, but also for their school and community outreach. They can be found every Friday during football seasons singing the school’s fight songs in the high school hallways. They also take pride in sharing their gifts at local charity events, festivals, churches, and elementary schools. The Chamber Singers were selected to be a part of the inaugural Music For All National Choir Festival in Indianapolis as one of only 13 choirs in the United States. They were also chosen to perform the opening concert for the Ohio Choral Directors Association Summer Conference this June at Otterbein University. In May, they were named the Most Spirited Choir in America by Varsity Brands, for which they appeared on Good Day Columbus. Most recently, they performed a short concert in the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda after their tour. The Chamber Singers are honored and excited to share their year-long concert theme, Be Heard, with the audience of Music on Market.
