Music on Market – The Hall of Fame Chorus

Music on Market is a program of The United Methodist Church of Wooster and supported by Main Street Wooster, Inc. and Wayne Center for the Arts. The series provides a diverse selection of high-quality music throughout the year to the entire community. These performances are presented in the Wooster UMC sanctuary – one of the largest, historical venues in our downtown and has handicap accessibility, available parking and proximity to downtown restaurants.

All events are free with a free-will offering to help cover the costs that accompany this amazing series. Seating is open style and no tickets are required. Doors open at 6:15. 330-262-5641

The Hall of Fame Chorus is the name of the performing chorus of the Canton Chapter of The Barbershop Harmony Society.

The HoF Chorus are a non-profit, educational, charitable and fraternal organization. They are member of the Johnny Appleseed District (JAD) which is made up of all the chapters in Ohio, West Virginia and western Pennsylvania, and one in Kentucky. The chapter was incorporated in Ohio in 1943.

JAD is part of The Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), the largest male, a capella singing organization in the world with nearly 25,000 active participants in North America and more than 70,000 when counting the affiliated organizations as far away as Great Britain, Norway, Holland, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Germany, Ireland and Finland.

Originally founded in 1938 to provide a musical outlet for men who desired fun along with the finest music education and performance standards, their members have always been dedicated to achieving excellence in vocal sound production and showmanship.

They have sung the National Anthem at the Akron RubberDucks baseball games several times and have performed with the Canton Symphony.
