Reading Under the Lights

Hillsdale Million Words Club brings you and your family Reading Under the Lights for grades PreK–5 at the HHS stadium! This year’s theme is “Lights, Camera, Read” and we plan to do just that!

Reading Under the Lights will provide ONE free book to EACH student. There will be fun and free literacy themed stations including:

★ Make a bookmark
★ Book Swap
★ Name your Favorite Book
★ Scavenger Hunt

The Hillsdale Community has many groups and organizations that make us celebrities. If you belong to a community group (sports teams, boy scouts, church groups, etc.), please wear your gear to show town pride. There will also be special celebrity readers to read with on the field! High school celebrities will be from the following sports/clubs:

★ JV/Varsity Football
★ JV/Varsity Cheer
★ Band members
★ JV/Varsity Volleyball
* HHS Book Club
★ Therapy dogs from Caring Therapy Canines

Bring your blankets to spread out on the field and read! Bring books if you’d like to donate to the book swap.

This will be a family event so please come prepared to enjoy an evening together under the lights.
