Up, Up & Away – A Sweet Jubilation Fundraiser
Members of Wayne County and surrounding communities are invited to journey Up, Up & Away at The Village Network’s annual Sweet Jubilation Fundraiser on Saturday, October 22 at 5:30 p.m. The black-tie optional dinner, dance and auction event will be held at the Greystone Event Center, 50 Riffel Road, Wooster.
Now in its 21st year, this year’s Sweet Jubilation Celebration will continue to be a hybrid event. After the success of the past two years, The Village Network is again offering two ways for community members to help make a difference in the lives of the youth and families they serve: 1. Purchase event tickets and join them on Saturday, Oct. 22 for the dinner, dance and live auction at the Greystone Event Center; or 2. Peruse the silent auction items now and place your online bids from Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 a.m. until it closes on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m. Wayne County Commissioner Sue Smail will be the Master of Ceremonies for the live event. Attendees will also be treated to special celebratory travel-inspired fun and activities. While anyone can join in the online silent auction, the live auction is reserved just for attendees at the Greystone Event Center and will include a variety of unique items, including tickets to Ohio State University and Cleveland Browns football games, a Trip to Florida’s Space Coast, and a group meal provided by Ferris, Buehler’s Food Truck, and more. Silent auction items include a ride in a hot-air balloon, weekend getaways to Cleveland and Amish Country, golf packages, artwork developed by youth at The Village Network, and more. The Village Network would like to thank the event sponsors, including United Titanium, Farmers National Bank, Medical Mutual, Don & Nadine Foster, Gallagher Benefits, Murr Printing, Crossbridge Marketing, D+S Distribution, Pallotta Ford, Wooster Color Point, and Sayre Hospitality Group. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Sensory Integration Rooms at facilities throughout Ohio, and The Village Network’s new Residential Treatment Center in development near the Wooster Residential Campus, both of which will benefit youth from all over Ohio. When it’s complete in January of 2024, the 16-bed, 13,716-square-foot Residential Treatment Center will serve as a secure step-down option from higher levels of care, provide youth ages 10 to 21 with more intensive services than The Village Network’s current residential program, and on a longer-term basis than their Therapeutic Stabilization Center. For more information about the Up, Up & Away event or to purchase tickets please go to Up22.givesmart.com, where they can also peruse the silent auction items, bid and donate.
