Texas redshirt freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers is expected to return from injury and start against the Oklahoma Sooners this upcoming Saturday.

Ewers went down with a serious shoulder injury on September 10th against the Alabama Crimson Tide and was expected to be out at least four to six weeks with the injury. Ewers has dressed for all Longhorn football games since the injury, but is now reportedly healthy and saw a full week of practice with no limitations.

In the two games that Ewers has played for Texas, he has completed 69.4% of his passes for 359 yards and two touchdowns. The Longhorns currently sit at a record of 3-2, while being 1-1 in Big 12 play, and will take on the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, October 8th, with a 12 p.m. kickoff time.
