A machinery accident last week in Wayne County’s Franklin Township claimed the life of an area farmer. Authorities say 40-year old Clemance Hochstedler died Thursday morning while attempting to clear corn stalks from his corn picker. Hochstedler, who was pronounced dead at the scene, leaves behind a wife and five children.
