The Highway Patrol has now identified the six people killed in yesterday morning’s five-vehicle crash in Licking County that involved a charter bus carrying students from Tusky Valley High School. The accident happened just before 9am, on I-70, when a semi slammed into the back of the bus. Of the six people killed, three were students on the bus, 18-year old John Mosely and 15-year old Katelyn Owens, both of Mineral City; and 18-year old Jeffery Worrell, of Bolivar. The other three killed were a teacher and two chaperones who were following the bus in one of the other vehicles involved in the crash. They have been identified as 56-year old Dave Kennat, of Navarre; 39-year old Kristy Gaynor, of Zoar; and 45-year old Shannon Wigfield, of Bolivar. Additionally, 18 others were injured in the accident, including15 students. The Highway Patrol says the westbound lanes of I-70 may reopen later today, but will remain closed this morning as investigators continue their work at the crash site and construction crews make repairs to the roadway.
