With the number of COVID cases continuing to soar each day, the availability of local tests is getting more and more limited.  Both the Wayne County Health Department and the Wayne County Public Library announced on Monday that they were completely out of tests and waiting for their next shipments.  Library officials say their last shipment, which consisted of 2,100 testing kits, was gone within five hours of receiving it.  The week between Christmas and New Year’s Day saw Wayne County’s biggest jump in COVID cases yet, with the number of cases increasing from 561 to 900.  Additionally, four Wayne County residents died last week from COVID, up from three the previous week.
