Twelve fire and rescue departments in Medina County were recently awarded with grant money to improve their communications through the Multi-Agency Radio Communications Systems. The MARCS radio system helps departments seamlessly communicate with each other, as well as other departments during emergencies. Granger Township Fire was awarded the most money, with $49,900 being allocated, while Seville-Guildford Twp. Fire received just over $49,600. Medina and Holmes Counties were included with 41 other counties to receive the grant money for the MARCS system.
