Fire destroys barn in Chippewa Township

A more than 100-year old barn in Chippewa Township was destroyed by fire over the weekend.  It happened Saturday afternoon at a farm located near the intersection of State Route 585 and Easton Road.  No injuries were reported, but fire officials say several pieces of farm equipment were destroyed, including a brush hog and a manure spreader.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
