A home near West Salem that was under construction was completely destroyed by fire this week. The fire broke out late Tuesday afternoon at a home on Myers Road. The home’s owner told fire officials that her 18 and 15-year old sons were spraying foam insulation in the second floor of the house shortly before it went up in flames. Another sibling also reported hearing a loud boom prior to the fire. The home was declared a total loss, with damage estimated at around $100,000. While shaken, the boys’ mom says she is just thankful that no one was hurt.
