The former Wooster City Schools choir teacher who was charged with sexual battery last year changed her plea earlier this month. Emily Patterson changed her plea to guilty to one count of sexual battery, a third-degree felony. Patterson resigned from her position with the district in June of last year, and in October she was charged with sexual battery after a former student came forward with sexual conduct claims. According to court documents the conduct took place while the student was 17 and happened between Setpember26th and December 31st, 2019. Patterson faces up to five years in prison.
