Former daycare provider convicted of child endangering

A former daycare provider will spend the next two years on probation after being convicted on a misdemeanor count of child endangering.  64-year old Joyce Vura pleaded no contest yesterday in Wayne County Municipal Court.  The charge stemmed from an incident last year in which a 15-month old girl at her daycare center was bitten multiple times by another child.  In addition to the two year’s probation, Vura’s sentence included a $250 fine and the stipulation that she never again operate or work at a childcare facility.
