A former standout athlete at Hiland High School is now renovating one of downtown Millersburg’s historic buildings. Dylan Kaufman, who led Hiland to back-to-back state titles in basketball, and graduated in 2012 as the school’s all-time leading scorer, purchased the American Hall building last year, with the idea of turning the second floor into upscale apartments and converting the third floor into a reception hall. Plans include an external elevator, rooftop access and possibly even a workout facility. Kaufman says he hopes to have the reception hall renovations done by next summer.
