Former Hillsdale teacher facing voyeurism charges in Ashland County

A former teacher with the Hillsdale Local School District is facing five misdemeanor counts of voyeurism for allegedly using his cell phone to take inappropriate videos of several students at the middle school.  29-year old Robert Altenburger is charged in Ashland County Municipal Court, where he is scheduled to be officially arraigned next week.  Altenburger had taught art at the high school and middle school since 2016, but resigned last month after the allegations came to light in late August.  The five alleged victims were reportedly all girls between the ages of 11 and 15.
