Free tax preparation help is available through the Orrville Area United Way and its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. The VITA program is for families with household incomes of less than $60,000, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and taxpayers who speak limited English. Last year, the Orrville Area United Way helped file 117 claims, saving taxpayers more than $25,000 in fees. VITA services will be available from mid-February thru mid-March.
