More than three weeks after getting hit by a car near the College of Wooster, Ezra Swartzentruber continues to make progress on his long road to recovery.  The 11-year old Wooster boy spent more than two weeks at Akron Children’s Hospital following the February 3rd accident that left him with multiple broken bones and deaf in one ear.  Swartzentruber and his parents spoke with News 5 Cleveland this week, thanking the community for all of its support.  So far, Ezra has received more than 400 get well cards from all over the country and a GoFundMe page has raised nearly $40,000.  A benefit for Ezra will also be held this weekend at Jersey Mike’s in Wooster.  This Sunday, from 10am-9pm, the restaurant will donate 15% of its sales toward Ezra’s medical bills.
