Garage fire in Chester Township, no injuries reported

New Pittsburg firefighters were called out to a garage fire yesterday morning in Chester Township.  The call came in at around a quarter till six at a home on Rice Hill Road.  No injuries were reported, but the attached garage was declared a total loss, while the home also suffered some fire and smoke damage.  All told, damage was estimated at $60,000.  The cause remains under investigation, although fire officials don’t consider it to be suspicious in any way.
