An 11-year old boy remains at Akron Children’s Hospital after being hit by a car this past weekend in Wooster. Ezra Swartzentruber was reportedly walking with his family on Saturday night after attending a basketball game at the College of Wooster when a student at the college struck him with their vehicle at a crosswalk on Beall Avenue. The child’s injuries include a broken leg, a broken hip, a fractured jaw and collarbone, along with multiple skull fractures. A go-fund-me account has been set up to help with the family’s medical bills. As of this morning, more than $21,000 has already been raised. Bosco’s Pizza in Wooster is also helping to raise money. The local pizza shop is donating 15% of all sales today to Swartzentuber’s medical fund.
