Governor DeWine announced guidelines for reopening schools in the fall. DeWine released five guidelines that each school needs to follow to reopen, none of which are much different from guidelines put in place for other sectors of the public. Schools must vigilantly assess for symptoms, with anyone with a temp over 100 or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 must stay home. Staff and students must be given ample time to wash and sanitize their hands, with sanitizer being placed at entrances of schools and classrooms. Schools must figure out ways to commit to social distancing, and schools must come up with a face covering plan, with teachers and staff being required to wear masks, while students are recommended to wear masks unless they have a medical or developmental reason not to.
