During Governor DeWine’s daily press conference, the governor announced the decision to close schools through the end of the academic year. The order to shut down schools was originally announced in March, and was extended to May 1st, but the decision was made to close the state’s schools for the rest of the academic year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Governor DeWine did say that distance learning would continue, and that no decision has been made for the fall as of yet, but that options are already being considered.
