The Cleveland Guardians fell on the road to the New York Yankees on Friday night by a final score of 4-1. The loss for the Guardians snaps a three-game win streak the team acquired in the last series against the Chicago White Sox.

For the Guardians (7-6), starting pitcher Eli Morgan takes the loss for going 3.0 innings and striking out five batters, but allowing two earned runs on one hit and two walks. Designated hitter Franmil Reyes got the only run of the game due to a solo homerun in the 4th inning, his second homerun in the last two days.

For the Yankees (8-6), starting pitcher Jameson Taillon got the win for going 5.0 innings and striking out five batters, despite allowing seven hits and one earned run. All-Star outfielder Aaron Judge was the difference maker, going 2-3 at the plate and bringing in three RBIs due to two homeruns in the ballgame.

The Guardians will be on the road once again to take on the Yankees on Saturday, April 23rd, with first pitch set for 1:05 p.m.
