The American League won its 9th straight All-Star game Tuesday in Los Angeles and the Cleveland Guardians were well represented.

Second baseman Andres Gimenez made a dazzling play with a behind the back flip to start a double play.

Jose Ramirez went 2 for 2 at the plate and scored on eof the three AL runs and closer Emmanuel Clase made his All-Star debut and finished off the ninth inning, striking out Garrett Cooper on three pitches, fanning Kyle Schwarber on three throws and then blowing a 1-2 99 mph cutter past Jake Cronenworth, just missing an immaculate inning.
