The Ohio State University has sold Hawk’s Nest Golf Course for a reported two and a half million dollars.  The property, located on State Route 3, just north of Wooster, was sold to a family that owns several nearby farms.   The family has yet to say what it plans to do with the land.  The golf course was gifted to OSU nearly 15 years ago by Earl and Betty Hawkins.   The university says the sale is part of its master plan to consolidate its holdings and reinvest in the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
