A head-on collision Wednesday night in Akron claimed the life of a Wayne County man.  27-year old Clinton Churby, of Lattasburg, was killed instantly when his car was struck head-on by a pickup truck that was going the wrong-way on I-76.  The crash occurred shortly after 8pm at the top of the Central Interchange.  Police believe that the 63-year old driver of the pickup was drunk at the time, although they have yet to officially charge him with any crime.  According to Churby’s family, he had just gotten off of work and was planning to leave that night for Texas, where he had taken a new job.  The crash remains under investigation.
