The former owner of the Horn Nursing Home has been sentenced on health care fraud.  Ryan Sheridan was given seven and a half years in prison for crimes related to a health care fraud conspiracy.  Sheridan had been accused of falsely billing Medicaid for drug and alcohol recovery services with many of the services never provided.  He had owned other facilities in both Youngstown and Columbus.  Sheridan had purchased the former nursing home in Wooster and its property three years ago with plans to turn it into a for-profit drug treatment facility.  He would eventually default on  the mortgage payments and the property was eventually bought by the  Wooster Growth Corporation and Wayne County Improvement Corporation.
