A Wooster woman involved in a car crash last month was recognized on Tuesday by the Canton Post of the Highway Patrol. 46-year old Christina Cudlip was given the patrol’s “Saved by the Belt” award during yesterday’s ceremony, which took place in Stark County’s Jackson Township. The accident took place on U.S. Route 30, near the Stark/Wayne County Line. Cudlip’s vehicle was going the speed limit when it was struck from behind by a Dodge Ram pickup that was traveling an estimated 100 miles per hour. Considering the severity of the crash, the patrol says it is hard to fathom Cudlip surviving the crash had she not been wearing her seatbelt.
