A newly released study has named Holmes County the top spot in Ohio for small businesses. The study was conducted by Smart Asset, a national investment firm. In addition to Holmes County claiming the top spot, Wayne County was ranked fourth in the state. To come up with its rankings, the study looked at five different factors, including the number of people in a county with small business income. Those five factors were then indexed and equally weighted to determine this year’s rankings.
