Holmes County Auditor sending reminders for dog owners to get licenses

The Holmes County Auditor is reminding dog owners in the county to get their licenses renewed. The auditor’s office is going to send out postcards to the nearly 650 dog owners who are delinquent with their licenses. The licenses will now cost $30, which includes a late fee, as the deadline to obtain a 2021 license was January 31^st.  The Holmes County Dog Warden will issue minor misdemeanors to those who still haven’t obtain a dog license for the year. The auditor’s office is asking anyone who doesn’t still have a dog to contact their office to be removed from the list.
