Holmes County has been awarded more than $600,000 in grant funding for a pair of sidewalk projects.  The money, made available through the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association, will be put to use in Millersburg and Salt Creek Township.  Millersburg will receive $307,000 to connect a sidewalk gap on South Washington Street that will allow pedestrians to safely get to a number of different locations, including the Holmes County Trial.  Salt Creek Township, meanwhile, is being given $318,000 for the Mount Hope sidewalk project, which will focus on a portion of State Route 241.
