Holmes County Commissioners have approved two new enterprise zone agreements.  One of the 10-year, 50% tax breaks was given to Coblentz Distributing, which is the operating company for Walnut Creek Foods.  The other was awarded to Gerber and Sons, a regional feed manufacturer in Baltic.  Walnut Creek Foods is planning a 12,000-square-foot addition to the south end of its distribution center, which is located on state Route 39 between Berlin Township and Walnut Creek Township. The expansion will create nine new full-time positions.  Gerber & Sons, meanwhile, will relocate from Tuscarawas County to a stretch of land in Holmes County.  The move has been in the works for a couple of years and is part of a two-phase expansion project for the company’s mill facility.
