Following a traffic study that found the posted speed of 55 mph to be unsafe, Holmes County Commissioners have approved a resolution to reduce the speed limit on four county roads.  Under the resolution, the speed limit on County Road 349 will be reduced to 40 mph.  The change on county roads 51 and 320 will be to 45 mph and the change of speed on CR 160 will be to 50 mph. According to the county engineer’s office, the next step is to submit the request to ODOT for it approval, a process that usually takes about two to three weeks.
