The Holmes County Commissioners received a total of seven bids for two projects for a water tower at the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office and Holmes County Home. Only one of those bids was for the actual water tower, which came in at just over $166,000. Six bids were received for the water line project for the tower and ranged from $239,000 to $325,000. Holmes County Engineer Chris Young will review the bids for the two projects and then give the commissioners his recommendations at a later date.
