Holmes County commissioners recently passed a resolution requesting that the director of the Ohio Department of Transportation change the current speed limit on 10 different sections of Holmes County roadways. The resolution will now be sent to ODOT for its approval. If that happens, the new speed limit postings should be in place within the next month or so. An $11,000 grant from ODOT will cover nearly the entire cost the of a speed survey which was used to determine if the changes in speed needed to be made.
