Holmes County Commissioners are weighing their options on moving a satellite dish that sits atop the county courthouse. The decision comes as renovations take place on the clock tower located at the courthouse. An engineering representative met with County Commissioners on Thursday, urging them to act quickly in order to avoid any down time to the satellite. According to local officials, the microwave data dish’s relay system receives and sends 911 transmissions to a tower located on state Route 241. Holmes County has nearly $250,000 remaining in funding.
