According to the latest numbers released by the Ohio Department of Health, Holmes County has the lowest COVID vaccination rate of any county in the state.  Holmes County is dead last in the state in the number of COVID vaccinations administered, with less than three percent of its population receiving the first dose of the vaccine.  Among Holmes County residents over the age of 80, the vaccination rate is currently at 26 percent, which is better than either Wayne or Ashland Counties, but still well below the state average.
