Holmes County is moving forward with a bridge replacement project in Mechanic Township. County Commissioners on Monday approved the lone bid submitted for the project, which was turned in by a Millersburg company and came in roughly $15,000 under the county’s original estimated cost of the project. The bridge in question is located on County Road 61, just south of County Road 19. Work on the nearly $950,000 project will begin this spring and is expected to take about four months to complete.
