Holmes County Commissioners approved a grant from ODOT during their Monday meeting that is set to go towards a trail project on Wally Road along the Mohican River. The grant was worth over $677,000 with the county pitching in over $98,000 for the project. The trail, which will be for biking and walking use, will run from the Knox County line to the covered bridge on Wally Road. Originally, Ashland and Knox Counties were also interested in the project, but only Holmes County moved forward with it. Commissioners also named a new President of the Board of Commissioners, as Rob Ault accepted that nomination.
