The Holmes County Park District is hoping to secure a half million dollar grant through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.  If it is awarded the grant, the park district would team up with the county’s soil & water conservation district to turn more than 33 acres of farmland at the south end of Millersburg into a wetlands area.  The grant would not only cover the cost of purchasing the land, but also the engineering and design work needed for the conversion as well.
