The Holmes County Park District is working to build a walking path on the site of the county’s former landfill. The district acquired the property three years ago and has hired an engineering firm to manage the land and develop the path. The Park District says future plans will include mountain bike trails and horseback riding trails, as well. Volunteers are now being sought to help clear the land.
